Paint Baking Oven

The paint baking oven is used for baking and curing wet paint films on workpieces after spray application. Suitable paint types include solvent-borne paints, waterborne paints, and high-solid paints. The unit uses electric heating with SUS304 stainless steel finned tubes installed in the side air ducts. Air circulation follows a top supply path through side ducts into the chamber, returning through the bottom duct. Baking temperatures are set between 60°C and 180°C depending on paint type. Waterborne paints typically run between 80°C and 120°C, while solvent-borne paints typically run between 120°C and 160°C. No-load heat-up rate is approximately 4 to 6°C per minute.

The temperature control system of the paint baking oven consists of a main controller and an independent monitoring instrument. The main controller handles normal temperature regulation. The monitoring instrument independently monitors chamber temperature with its over-temperature alarm set 5°C to 10°C above the main setpoint. When the chamber temperature reaches this alarm value, the monitoring instrument outputs a signal to cut off heating power and activates an audible and visual alarm. When the chamber temperature deviates beyond plus or minus 3°C from the setpoint, the system automatically adjusts heating output power.

Chamber dimensions and heating power are customized according to workpiece sizes and production output. The equipment is suitable for paint baking in automotive parts, hardware products, and machinery manufacturing. Typical baking time ranges from 20 to 60 minutes per batch, depending on paint type, film thickness, and baking temperature. An explosion-proof system, including explosion-proof motors, explosion-proof electrical components, and pressure relief devices, is available for baking processes involving flammable solvents.
